How Long Is Not Yet?
Four stories about the space between arriving and being ready — that quiet, elastic interval we all keep calling the meantime.
A woman moves into a dead stranger’s flat and keeps meaning to make it her own. A painter can’t bring herself to finish the one canvas that matters. Someone lingers at the edge of every gathering, waiting to feel like enough. A life pauses, mid-gesture, and forgets how to start again.
Each character is waiting for a threshold to be crossed, a signal that never quite comes. Together they circle a single, disarming question: how long, exactly, is “not yet”?
