Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect when you use this Site and buy a book, why we collect it, and what your rights are. The data controller is Vlad Bucoveanu, trading as “AllVlad”, Vong La, Thien Loc, Hanoi, Vietnam — allvlad@gmail.com.

1. What we collect

Purchase information. When you buy a book, our payment provider Paddle collects your name, email, billing details, and payment information. We receive from Paddle a limited record of the transaction (such as your email and which book you bought) so we can deliver your access.
Access information. Your email address and a hashed access code, so we can grant and verify your access to the reader.
Contact messages. If you use the contact form, the name, email, and message you send.
Basic technical data. Standard server and security logs generated when you use the Site.

2. Payment processing and Paddle

Payments are processed by Paddle as Merchant of Record. Paddle collects and processes your payment and billing data under its own privacy notice, available at paddle.com. We do not see or store your full card details.

3. Why we use your data

We use your data to deliver the book you purchased, to verify your reader access, to provide support and handle refund requests, to protect the Site and the works against misuse, and to comply with our legal and tax obligations.

4. Watermarking

Each reader session displays a watermark tied to your email address. This deters unauthorised copying and sharing. It is visible only to you while reading and is not shared with third parties.

5. Who we share data with

We share data only as needed to run the Site: with Paddle (payments), with our hosting provider Cloudflare (serving the Site and reader), and with an email provider used to send your access code. We do not sell your personal data.

6. How long we keep it

We keep purchase and access records for as long as you may need access and as required for tax and accounting purposes. Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, email allvlad@gmail.com. You also have rights in relation to Paddle’s processing, which you can exercise via Paddle.

8. Cookies

The Site uses a small number of strictly necessary cookies, including a secure session cookie that keeps you signed in to the reader after you enter your access code. These are required for the reader to work and are not used for advertising. The Paddle checkout may set its own cookies under Paddle’s privacy notice.

9. Changes

We may update this Policy from time to time; the current version is always posted here with its date.
